 But just to give a brief overview of what Giveaways are all about:

• Basically it works this way. The host of the Give Away event invites JV partners, who are primarily list owners in the same niche, to contribute a gift. The gifts can be any form of digital products: eBooks, reports, audio/video products, membership passes, or software.
• As a JV partner, you will prepare an opt-in page for visitors to sign up to your mailing list in order to download your gift. Hence, giveaway events are really good list building opportunities as anyone who wants to download your gift must opt into your mailing list first.
• The host of the event then compiles all the contributed gifts inside the member’s area. This is where the visitors will go to download the gifts of their choice. When they click on a link of a gift, it will bring them to the individual partner’s opt in page.

So the next question is, how will giveaway events benefit you?

Be it you’re a beginner looking for freebies or an established marketer looking to build your list, it will benefit you greatly.

Firstly, for someone looking for eBooks to enhance their knowledge in the area of IM, giveaways will provide you with a ton of eBooks and software provided by other marketers. All you need to do is to opt in to their list to receive your freebie.

Nonetheless, one word of caution is not to get over excited and start signing up for everyone’s list. In that way, not only will you suffer from information overload, you’ll also find yourself spending the bulk of your time reading other people’s emails and helping others achieve their goals instead of your own.

Now for list builders, giveaways will be the perfect opportunity. You can create a short viral report if you have not and simply upload to the giveaway so that people who are interested in your product will opt in to your list to get them. Of course, you might want to set up an attractive squeeze page for it as well.

So it’s a really simple but yet highly effective way of generating subscribers to your list.

Just by using this method, I’ve been consistently adding 100s of subscribers for each giveaway I join.
